Technology Hiring News & a scaling Irish software company
The tech sector is more than just a few big names. There's an industry crying out for talented people. The Pragmatic Engineer made a list. Also, check out our podcast with Eoin Boylan of Evervault.
Good news in tech
This Pragmatic Engineer newsletter is a thing of joy! Gergely Orosz has compiled a stunning list of over 750 companies around the world hiring thousands of tech roles, from software engineers to engineering managers and everything in the technology lifecycle.
This is just one of many lists of jobs available to the tech community, but its added value is in the column where Gergely asks the person submitting the job (if they work for the company they are submitting), what it’s like to work there. Time and time again, “positive culture” was mentioned.
Podcast
Our guest in episode 72 of Fireside with Voxgig was Eoin Boylan, Head of Engineering of Irish software company Evervault. Evervault are specialists in data encryption but in this conversation Eoin and I also talk about DevRel and their onboarding of developer users; dedicated Slack channels.
Eoin and I discuss how this habit emerged, it’s typical lifecycle and its scalability as Evervault grows.
We have the pleasure of working with Eoin and his team on a shared client in the consumer finance space Unbanx; as you can imagine, encryption is pretty vital, so Eoin talks us through how Evervault works their magic.
